چکیده
In this review, the potential failures and flaws associated with fused deposition modeling (FDM) or filament fabrication (FFF) 3D printing technology are highlighted. The focus of article is on presenting that caused by operational standpoints which based many years experience current emerging materials equipment for polymers composites using FDM/FFF method. FDM FFF printing, also known as an additive manufacturing (AM) technique, a material processing method where raw material, usually in form filaments, added layer-by-layer to create three-dimensional part from computer designed model. As expected, there advantages terms usage, time, complexity part, ease use FDM/FFF, extensively discussed articles. However, upgrade application public general usage prototyping large-scale production use, well be certain about integrity parts even prototype, quality structural properties products become big concern. This study provides discussions insights into factors can cause failure printers when producing presents type characteristics happen produced parts. Common defects posed have been discussed, common nondestructive detection methods identify these both in-process after process completed discussed. machines useful information troubleshooting if they happen, review helps researchers operators learn causes effects practical way.

Study on the Effect of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) Process Parameters on the Printed Part Quality
3D printing known as additive manufacturing (AM) has been applied for applications in different fields such as aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and energy industries. It is the fact that 3D printing has gained a very wide acceptance over the last decade. However, several significant hurdles prevent its wider adoption. One of the most important barriers is the quality of the printed parts. Cur...

Recent advances in additive manufacturing (AM) techniques (otherwise known as 3D printing) have enabled fabrication of a new class of porous biomaterials (Figure 1) with arbitrarily complex and precisely controlled topologies that e.g. resemble the geometry and micro-architecture of (trabecular) bone. Since the geometry of scaffolds and biomaterials is an important factor in bone tissue regener...
متن کاملFinishing of ABS-M30 Parts Manufactured with Fused Deposition Modeling With Focus on Dimensional Accuracy
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) parts are prone to process-related rough and wavy surfaces with stair-stepping effects whenever the parts produced have sloped or rounded geometries. These stair-stepping effects can be reduced by using a smaller slice height, but complete elimination is not possible. In this paper, FDM parts manufactured with the material ABS-M30 are finished using mass finishin...

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) parts are typically subject to process-related rough or wavy surfaces, with stair-stepping effects whenever the parts produced have sloped or rounded part geometries; however, the level of optical quality frequently required demands that parts feature a smooth surface. In this paper, the results of a high-energy finishing process, which uses a disc finishing unit...
